Wedding Package - Safari & Zanzibar
Safari adventures in three of Tanzania's most spectacular parks

From savannah to paradise beach
This itinerary offers a fantastic combination of adventure and relaxation, first with a safari and then sun and swimming in Zanzibar.
This safari tour takes you through three of Tanzania's most iconic parks and offers a perfect combination of magnificent landscapes and rich wildlife experiences. The tour begins in Tarangire, known for its large elephant herds, lush valleys, and diverse wildlife. Here you can experience the savannah both from the jeep and on an exciting walking safari with a ranger.
You will then continue to the mighty Ngorongoro Crater, where thousands of animals roam the green crater floor, offering the chance to see everything from lions to the rare black rhino.
The safari adventure then continues in the Serengeti, known as the endless savannah. There you can encounter everything from cheetahs and giraffes to zebras, elephants, and hyenas. The morning safari here, when the savannah slowly awakens, is one of the highlights of the trip.
Then you will travel to Zanzibar, which is an ideal destination for a honeymoon – romantic, relaxed and full of magical surroundings. Here you can stroll along miles of white beaches, enjoy warm evenings by the sea and find many charming places for a drink or a cosy dinner together. We usually suggest staying in Jambiani, which is very authentic and has many cozy restaurants.
One highlight is a private full-day excursion on a dhow, where you can snorkel in crystal-clear waters and enjoy a magical BBQ prepared by a private chef, completely free of other tourists.
We recommend ending your trip with a night in Stone Town, a city steeped in history, culture, and charm. On the way there, we usually book a visit to a small, authentic spice plantation, and in the evening you can round off your trip with a truly memorable dinner.
With our extensive experience of Zanzibar and a Swedish colleague on site, Helen, we can offer personalized tips and unique accommodation. If you have specific requests, we will be happy to help you find a package that suits you.

Days included in the package
Day 1 - Departure from Sweden
Today your adventure begins as you fly from your chosen airport to Kilimanjaro or Arusha. We are happy to book your flight to Tanzania, but you can also choose to book it yourself.
Day 2 - Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to amazing Tanzania! Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our friendly guides waiting in the arrivals hall with a sign bearing your name. You will then be taken to your hotel to rest and recover from your journey. The area around Arusha is characterized by coffee and banana plantations and is located at a high altitude, which makes the climate pleasant all year round.
If you want to go directly to the national parks, this is possible at an additional cost.
Day 3 - Visit to the kingdom of elephants
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and the journey to Tarangire National Park begins. If everyone in the group is over 13 years old, there is the option to start the day with a walking safari of about 1.5 hours accompanied by an armed ranger. Walking on the savannah is an amazing experience where you can experience the scents and sounds of the savannah up close. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, which you can often get very close to, but there are also a variety of other animals and all of the big cats.
Many travelers consider this park their favorite because it is hilly and lush. There are also plenty of other animals here, including all the big cats. To get the most out of your day, bring a picnic lunch to eat at a suitable spot inside the reserve. When the sun begins to set, return to your accommodation for a pleasant dinner.
The guide plans the day entirely according to your wishes and their knowledge of where the animals are usually found.
Day 4 - The eighth wonder of the world
Early in the morning, you will begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. For many predators, this is the time of day when they are most active. The trip down to the crater itself is an exciting experience, with an elevation difference of almost 600 meters from the crater rim to the crater floor. The crater is called the Garden of Eden because there are between 25,000 and 30,000 wild animals in this area. With a little luck, you may see the endangered black rhino. Ngorongoro was once as high as Kilimanjaro, but three million years ago, the mountain collapsed after a volcanic eruption and formed this mighty crater. You will then continue on to the Serengeti.
Day 5 - Felines on an endless savannah
Today, an exciting full day of safari in the Serengeti awaits. You will get up early in the morning to see the savannah come to life. The day will be spent spotting animals such as giraffes, ostriches, hyenas, antelopes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, and much more. At dusk, you will return to your accommodation in central Serengeti. Sitting on the savannah surrounded by all the sounds and scents of Africa and looking up at the starry sky is magical.
Day 6 - Morning magic in the Serengeti
Getting up early, breathing in the fresh morning air and watching the mist float over the Serengeti is something truly special. A quiet calm descends over the savannah.
The Seronera area, where you are staying, is particularly rich in wildlife. After a morning or mid-morning safari, you will leave the Serengeti and head back to Arusha.
Day 6 - 10 - Zanzibar - Sun and swimming in Jambiani
You can enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Arusha in peace and quiet.
On day 6, you will travel from Arusha to the exotic island of Zanzibar, which takes about 1 hour. At the airport in Zanzibar, you will be picked up by our local driver and driven to your hotel.
Today, you will change beaches and travel on to Jambiani, a genuine and charming part of Zanzibar where you will really get close to local life. Along the beach, you can see women gathering seaweed and fishermen in their traditional boats.
This is the perfect area for strolling along the beach and discovering cozy restaurants and bars, all in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.
One day also includes a completely private and unique experience: a full day with Mimi the Dhow, Helen's traditional sailing boat. You will sail in the quieter southern part of Zanzibar, far from the tourist trails. The day includes snorkeling at Pungume's coral reef and a delicious seafood BBQ prepared by your own chef and served on an idyllic sandbank. An unforgettable experience to carry with you for the rest of your life.
We suggest staying at Passion Hotel, an accommodation that combines luxury with intimacy and is perfect for newlyweds.
- No accommodation
- Breakfast included
Day 10 - Stone Town (optional)
Today you will be driven to Stone Town. On the way, you will stop at a pleasant and authentic spice plantation, where you will be given a tour by a guide who grew up on the plantation. Here you can sample different spices and fruits and enjoy a lunch made from ingredients grown on the plantation.
Stone Town has a very special magic. The charming, narrow alleys, carved doors, and historic atmosphere make the city feel like it's from another time. It's a place full of mystery and life, perfect for exploring on foot.
In the evening, we have booked dinner at Emerson Spice, where you will be served a 7-course tasting menu with truly delicious food. All this while you enjoy a 360-degree view and the sunset.
If you prefer to stay an extra night at your beach hotel, you can of course opt out of the overnight stay in Stone Town. We can also arrange a shorter visit to the city if you want to experience the atmosphere without changing hotels.
- Breakfast & dinner
Day 11 - Return journey
Well in advance of your departure, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven to the airport. Depending on your flight time, you can spend your last day taking a final dip in the pool, enjoying a cup of coffee on one of the lovely rooftop terraces, or strolling around the shops to buy souvenirs and locally produced products.
- Breakfast
Day 12 - Return home
Today you will arrive home in Sweden after what we hope has been a fantastic trip. We hope you will take many wonderful memories with you to look back on.

Good to know
Robust and reliable safari jeeps
We use four-wheel drive Toyota Land Cruisers for all our safari tours in Tanzania. To ensure high quality and reliability, each jeep undergoes servicing after every trip. The roads to the parks are often paved, but inside the parks the terrain is more uneven, which makes for a slightly bumpy ride. However, our vehicles are equipped with comfortable soft seats for the most pleasant experience possible.
All our jeeps offer:
- seating for up to 7 passengers, all with their own window seat
- retractable roof offering unobstructed views of the savannah
- power outlets for charging mobile phones, cameras, and other equipment
- cool box where you can store any beverage
We are happy to help you book your airline tickets.
We have access to a system where we can compare a large number of flights and come up with several options based on your preferences, such as departure date, airline, number of stopovers, or departure city. We can book flights from most countries, not just Sweden.
The journey from Sweden usually takes around 14 hours, depending on the route.
If we find an option that suits you, we can also reserve the tickets, which means that the price is locked in for a short period while you consider your options. A reservation is not binding and can be canceled at any time if you decide not to proceed.
You are also welcome to book your own flight if you prefer.
- For a pure safari trip in Tanzania, it is easiest to fly to and from Kilimanjaro (JRO).
- If you combine a safari with Zanzibar, we recommend a multi-city ticket: fly to Kilimanjaro and home from Zanzibar (or vice versa if you want to end with the safari).
During certain periods in high season, we also have pre-booked airports on selected dates, which usually makes the price a little cheaper.
We usually book domestic flights between the mainland and Zanzibar, but you can also choose to do this yourself.
Currency & payment in Tanzania
Tanzania primarily uses Tanzanian shillings (TZS), but USD is sometimes accepted. However, it is often more expensive to pay in USD.
- Withdrawing money
Tanzanian shillings cannot be exchanged in Sweden, so you will need to withdraw money locally. There are ATMs at the airport, in Arusha, and in Moshi. - Card payments
Most restaurants and hotels acceptcard payments, but there are still places where you can only pay in cash or where the card machine does not work. Therefore, it is important to always have cash as a backup. - Small bills
It is smart to have small bills for buying fruit, water, snacks, or souvenirs. Therefore, be sure to ask for small bills when you shop at the beginning of your trip. A good plan is to withdraw a small amount at the airport when you arrive, and then withdraw more as needed after the safari. - Haggle with consideration
Prices are often negotiable, but do so with respect. Avoid haggling just for the sake of it, as many sellers operate on very small margins.
Clothing tips for your safari in Tanzania
This may be good to keep in mind before going on a safari
- The roof of the safari jeep provides good sun protection, so full-coverage clothing is not necessary. Feel free to choose light, airy, and loose-fitting garments.
- Avoid bright colors, black, and dark blue, as these can attract insects.
- The Ngorongoro area is located at high altitude and can be quite cold, especially in the mornings and evenings. Therefore, bring a warm sweater or jacket.
- When visiting Moshi, Arusha, or other cities, it is advisable to dress respectfully.
- Bring shoes with thick soles that can handle uneven terrain and protect against sharp thorns.
Tanzania offers amazing wildlife experiences all year round
December - March
Experience the calving season for wildebeest and zebra in the southern Serengeti, increasing your chances of witnessing the Great Migration. Enjoy the warmest temperatures of the year and lush, green landscapes early in the period.
April - May
Take advantage of fewer tourists and a lush, leafy environment during the long rainy season. Enjoy pleasant temperatures, but be prepared for potential road conditions and the need to keep vehicle windows closed during heavy downpours.
June - September
This long dry season offers excellent game viewing as vegetation thins and wildlife congregates around water sources. It's an ideal time to witness wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River. Expect dry weather and fewer mosquitoes, but also the highest number of tourists.
October - November
Enjoy amazing wildlife viewing in Tarangire as the animals gather near the Tarangire River. Witness the great migration returning to the Serengeti. Be prepared for potential short rains, which often occur in the evening or night and can result in fewer crowds and a greener landscape.
