Camping in Ngorongoro
Simba Camp is a simple but very nice campsite located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, about 2,400 meters above sea level. Zebras, buffalo, and other wildlife are often seen in and around the camp, which truly provides an authentic safari experience. Your guide will set up your tent for you, so you don’t have to worry about the practical details. You’ll also have your own safari chef who prepares all your meals right here, so you can relax. The camp offers basic facilities such as restrooms, showers, and communal dining areas. One of the major advantages of Simba Camp is its location right on the crater rim. This allows you to quickly head down into the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a safari. In the evenings, you can enjoy the fresh mountain air, the starry sky, and the exciting sounds of wildlife around the camp.
