More than just travel—here’s how we work with our destinations
For us at Nalini Tours, travel is a passion and a way to bring people closer to nature, wildlife, and the fascinating culture of Tanzania, South Africa, and Zanzibar. We have built our company by living and working in the countries where we operate, and our knowledge and love for these places are woven into every trip we organize.

On-site presence – we're there wherever you go
It’s important to us to be close to our destinations. Behind every trip is a dedicated team with strong local ties in Tanzania, Zanzibar, and South Africa, and many of us live and work there. This means that we don’t just book your trip—we can offer authentic experiences that few other operators can.
We have Swedish staff on the ground in both Tanzania and South Africa, and our offices in Moshi and Cape Town serve as the hub for our daily operations. By being on the ground, we can:
- Share our unique local knowledge —we’re constantly visiting new hotels and are always on the lookout for wonderful new adventures to offer our travelers.
- Building long-term relationships - It is very important to us to maintain strong relationships with all our guides, hotel owners, and representatives at local projects.
- Providing personalized service - As a traveler, you’re never far from one of us, whether you’re on safari in the Serengeti or hiking on Table Mountain.

Personalized trips created with heart and experience
We don’t just rely on reviews— we’ve personally visited nearly every accommodation, driven down the narrow dirt roads, and set our alarm for 5:00 a.m . to enjoy a cup of coffee as the sun rises over the savanna. This firsthand experience is invaluable when planning your trip and helps us find the most authentic experiences.
We have over ten years of experience offering safari trips, but it’s not just the length of time that counts. For us, experience is about always staying curious, continuing to grow, and delivering that little extra touch that makes your trip unique. The safari experience depends largely on the guide, which is why we select our guides very carefully in Tanzania. We ensure they maintain high standards in terms of knowledge, safety, and personality, and you’ll have the same guide throughout the entire safari to build a trusting relationship. If you go on a safari with us, you’ll notice that the guides are truly passionate about what they do!
We also invest in continuing education and professional development. Each year, our guides participate in field trips with various themes and areas of focus to deepen their knowledge. In South Africa, the guiding is handled by the lodges’ own rangers and trackers, and their passion for the savanna is sure to rub off on you.
In addition to our guides, we work with a dedicated network of travel experts both in Sweden and on-site. We love to tailor trips where we, for example, combine safaris with wine tasting in the Cape Winelands, snorkeling in Zanzibar, or other adventures you’ve been dreaming of. With us, you won’t get a cookie-cutter product, but a personalized adventure you’ll never forget.

Local partnerships and environmental projects
Sustainability and social responsibility are an integral part of what we do. We want our trips to make a positive difference—both for the environment and for the people we meet. That’s why we get involved in local projects and actively work on environmental issues.
One traveler = one square meter of forest for the monkeys
Through the project “One Traveler = One Square Meter of Forest for the Monkeys,” we donate one square meter of rainforest for every traveler who travels with us. This non-profit conservation initiative focuses on protecting the rainforest and preserving habitats for monkeys and other animals. The project works to protect endangered forest areas from logging, support sustainable agriculture, and create long-term solutions that benefit both wildlife and local communities. Every square meter protected makes a difference for the ecosystem, biodiversity, and future generations. If you happen to be traveling along the Garden Route in South Africa, you should definitely visit them!
Love and Hope Foundation
We also support the Love and Hope Foundation, a registered nonprofit organization based in Moshi, Tanzania. The organization was founded in 2018 and works to rescue, protect, and support orphaned and vulnerable children. They provide healthcare, therapy, and daily care, and currently look after more than 26 children. By traveling with us, you help ensure these children have a safer upbringing and a chance at a better future. We would love for you to visit them if you have the opportunity while you’re in Tanzania.

- What does it mean that Nalini Tours has a local presence?
We have staff based in Tanzania, South Africa, and Sweden. Living and working in these locations gives us unique local knowledge and the ability to create authentic experiences.
- How long have you been operating in Tanzania and South Africa?
We have been selling safari trips to Tanzania for ten years, and our representative in Zanzibar has lived there for much longer than that. We have lived and worked in South Africa ourselves on and off, and we have a strong local presence. Over the years, we have built up a strong network of guides, lodges, and local partners. Our experience allows us to offer high-quality, tailor-made trips.
- How do you choose guides for your safari tours?
In Tanzania, we select our guides very carefully and ensure that they maintain high standards of knowledge and safety. We can also guarantee that they have wonderful personalities. They also receive ongoing training through field trips. In South Africa, each lodge is responsible for its own guides, and they generally maintain very high standards.
- What sustainability projects do you support?
We are working on the project “One Traveler = One Square Meter of Forest for the Monkeys” to protect the rainforest and preserve habitats, and we support the Love and Hope Foundation, which provides vulnerable children with healthcare, safety, and care.
- As a traveler, how can I contribute to more sustainable travel?
You can make conscious choices, such as buying locally, conserving water, respecting local customs, avoiding unnecessary haggling, and showing consideration for animals and nature.
Going on a safari adventure with us helps create local jobs and benefits the local community.
Are you ready for your next dream trip?
At Nalini Tours, we combine passion, experience, and a commitment to social responsibility to create journeys that touch the heart. Through our on-the-ground presence and local projects, we strive to ensure that every trip is not only an unforgettable experience for you, but also leaves a positive impact on the countries you visit.
We look forward to creating a dream trip for you that you’ll never forget.
And we really hope to hear from you!
