Fly-in Safari

Fly-in Safari

about the package

This is a perfect trip if you want an extra experience on your safari while saving time. It's also convenient as you don't have to travel long distances by jeep. You fly from Arusha and land in the middle of central Serengeti a few hours later. It is a magical feeling to fly in over the Serengeti as from the plane you can see all kinds of animals roaming freely on the savannah.

Many nature films have been shot in the Serengeti, which is easy to understand as it is one of the world's most densely populated areas, home to around 4 million animals. The grasslands are dominated by wildebeest, buffalo, zebra and antelope, but there are also many predators.

The Safari Jeep is a four-wheel drive Land Cruiser equipped with an electric socket where you can lift the roof to get a perfect view of the savannah.

If you don't want to take the flight from Serengeti back to Arusha and instead go on safari in other national parks, you can choose to go by jeep back to Arusha and visit the other parks on the way. There is also the option of going from Serengeti directly to Zanzibar.

This package can be extended by 1 or more extra days. You can also fly one way and go by jeep one way.

"A VERY well planned trip and a very good guide. He did everything to make sure we experienced as much as possible. Amazing hot air balloon ride, with a leopard in a tree near where we landed. Book a safari and do it through Nalini Tours"

days included in the package

Day 1

Day 1

We will pick you up at the airport in Arusha or Kilimanjaro. One of our representatives will stand with a sign with your name in the arrivals hall. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you will have time to recover after a long journey. Arusha is beautifully situated at the foot of Tanzania's second highest mountain, Mount Meru. Just a few kilometres away is Africa's highest mountain Kilimanjaro. The region is characterised by coffee and banana plantations. Arusha is high above sea level, which makes the climate very pleasant.

Day 2

Day 2

In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel for transfer to the airport in Arusha. The flight takes about an hour and seeing the savannah from above is an amazing experience. You land basically in the middle of the savannah and here your guide will be waiting for you. To make the most of the time, you start the safari immediately. Lunch is at a picnic area inside the park. Crossing the open plains of Serengeti is a special experience and it feels like the savannah never ends. In the Serengeti you have the chance to see all the big animals except the rhino. It's exciting not knowing which animals will suddenly appear and in what situations you'll see them.

Day 3

Day 3

Today there will be an exciting full day safari in the Serengeti. You'll get up early in the morning to watch the savannah come to life. On safari here you will see many of the animals synonymous with Africa. The day is spent spotting animals such as giraffes, ostriches, hyenas, antelopes, zebras, cheetahs, hippos and elephants. We will bring picnic lunch to eat at a suitable spot inside the reserve. In the afternoon/evening you will go on another tour as the sun sets over the park. At dusk you return to your accommodation in central Serengeti for dinner. Sitting on the savannah surrounded by all the sounds and smells of Africa and looking up at the starry sky is magical.

Day 4

Day 4

After an early breakfast, it's time for a tour of an animal spotting. It's impossible to predict what your safari trip will be like because nothing can be controlled in the animal world, so you never know what you'll experience. However, your camera is guaranteed to be full of pictures and you will spot many different animals. You will be driven to the airport in Serengeti for the journey back to Arusha where you will arrive at lunchtime. You can also choose to visit more national parks and in that case take the safari jeep back to Arusha or go directly from Serengeti to Zanzibar.

Day 5

Day 5

You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. If you choose to add our Zanzibar package, we will pick you up at the hotel in good time before your flight departs. experience
"the big five"

lion

LION

The lion is the only feline that lives and hunts in packs. In the pride, it is mainly the female lions that hunt and the males that defend the pride and its territory. Their roar is powerful and can be heard from 5 miles away. Usually the pride consists of a majority of females. They raise their cubs together and the cubs can be fed breast milk by any of the females. A lion can eat up to 40-50 kg of meat at a time, the equivalent of about 400 hamburgers.

buffalo

Buffalo

The buffalo is one of Africa's most dangerous animals and is known by many as "the black death". They can sometimes even kill lions. They have poor eyesight, but an exceptionally good sense of smell. A buffalo can be unpredictable, especially when alone and injured. It is said that they never forget or forgive and on many occasions they have attacked hunters who have previously tried to kill them. This has made the buffalo the animal that kills the most hunters. This behaviour and the fact that they have sharp horns means that they have not been successfully tamed.

elephant

Elephant

The elephant is the world's largest land animal and also one of the world's most intelligent animals. It can weigh up to 6 tonnes, heavier than a car. Elephants are emotional and can both cry and laugh. They can talk to each other from a few miles away by stamping on the ground and can even smell water up to 2 miles away. With its trunk, an elephant can pick up a single blade of grass, but it can also lift an entire tree. An elephant is pregnant for almost 2 years.

rhinos

rhinos

The rhino has been around for an unlikely 60 million years. There used to be 30 species of rhinos, but there are only 5 left. You might not believe it, but the rhino is a fast animal. However, they are poor swimmers and they have small eyes and very poor eyesight. Fortunately, they have no natural enemies on the savannah. But many poachers want their horns. The horn is made of heavily twisted hair and is used for defence, but also for digging. If a horn breaks off, it grows back.

leopard

leopard

Leopards are agile and fast and are not social animals, usually living alone. During the day they often rest on a branch in a tree and at night or dawn they hunt. Their vision in the dark is seven times better than a human's. They kill their prey in lightning-fast attacks. Leopards are very strong and to prevent lions and hyenas from stealing their prey, they drag their prey up a tree. Their catch can be anything from a baboon to an antelope.
