Travel Conditions

Travel conditions

Often, a journey begins long before the experiences on the ground. Our goal is to help you plan your trip with confidence as well as to make you feel completely at ease at your destination. When you book with us, you get one of the best payment terms in the industry. All guides and drivers on site are familiar with and follow the local guidelines regarding Covid-19.
If you have any questions or concerns on site, we have an on-call telephone so you can reach us 24 hours a day.

The travel conditions below apply to you when booking a trip with us at Nalini Safari & Tours. The trip is subject to the Swedish Travel Agents and Tour Operators Association's (SRF) general terms and conditions agreed within the industry on 28 June 2018 and the tour operator's special terms and conditions, which are listed below. The special conditions must not conflict with the Package Travel Act to the detriment of the traveller.

Foreign Ministry travel recommendations

In March 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a general travel advisory, which was extended in stages. On 24 September 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the lifting of the general travel advisory as of 1 October 2021, thus removing the travel advisory for Tanzania.

Payment

A registration fee of 10% of the total amount is payable upon booking. The remaining amount must be paid 45 days before departure and until then you can also freely rebook your trip to another date. However, if the booking is made less than 45 days before departure, the full amount must be paid immediately. You pay by invoice sent to you. The contract with the client is concluded when Nalini Tours has received the registration fee. By paying this you have also accepted our terms and conditions of travel.
The price must be indicated in such a way that the full price of the trip is clearly shown. The price must include all services included in the contract as well as mandatory supplements, taxes and fees.
Our payment terms are based on the Consumer Agency's "General Terms and Conditions for Package Travel".

Travel Guarantees

Nalini safari & Tours is a Swedish tour operator and therefore complies with the Package Travel Act.
We have issued travel guarantees in accordance with the rules and requirements of the Chamber of Commerce. The travel guarantee is a financial protection for travellers if a trip is cancelled or interrupted. The customer can then apply for compensation from the travel guarantee. This means that you can receive compensation if any part of your package tour or interconnected travel arrangements is cancelled in the event of insolvency. Read more at Kammarkollegiet.se

Insurance

Travel insurance and cancellation insurance are not included in the price of the trip. It is compulsory that you as a customer ensure that you have this. Often some travel protection is included in a home insurance policy or if you pay with certain debit cards, but we ask you to contact your insurance company to advise them on this. This is important as Nalini Tours will not be responsible for any costs incurred if a traveller becomes ill or injured before or during the safari.

Cancellation

In case of cancellation later than 45 days, but earlier than 15 days before the trip, 50% of the trip price will be refunded. In case of cancellation 14 days or later, no refund of the total cost of the trip will be made unless otherwise agreed. Nalini Tours will try to refund what has been paid for hotels, parks etc. as far as possible, so in some cases the above conditions may be more favourable to you as a client.
If the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to Tanzania or if a safari tour cannot be completed, the full amount will be refunded to the client.

Changes before and during the journey

Due to the nature of safaris, it is difficult to predict the exact itinerary and to guarantee 100% adherence to the itinerary. Road conditions, political decisions and other circumstances may force changes to the itinerary. Nalini Tours reserves the right to make necessary changes to the itinerary, but always does so with the best interests of the client in mind. At the time of booking, the customer accepts this fact.
If a safari tour cannot be carried out, the customer will be offered in the first instance to carry out the tour at a later date. If this is not possible, the total amount of the safari will be refunded to the customer. However, this does not apply to self-booked flight tickets, visas or other costs related to the trip.
The organiser may increase the price of the trip if the increase is due to changes in fuel costs, taxes and public charges or exchange rates. The right to increase the price only exists if the total increase in costs exceeds SEK 500 per booking. The price of the trip shall be reduced if, for reasons stated above, the organiser's costs decrease by a total of at least SEK 500 per booking. The price may not be increased, nor need it be decreased, during the last 20 days before the agreed date of departure. The traveller may terminate the contract due to a substantial change, e.g. if the price is increased by more than 8% of the total price of the package.

Flights

If a customer books an international flight himself and is delayed at the starting point of the safari and thus misses parts of the safari, no financial compensation will be paid to the customer for this.
