Some of the best national parks in the world are in Tanzania. They complement each other perfectly as some national parks are savannahs while others are much more hilly and lush.

In northern Tanzania you'll find the more famous national parks like Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Here you have the chance to see both the Maasai and the 'big five'. The starting point for the safari is Arusha and you can fly either to the airport in Arusha or to Kilimanjaro airport which is very close.
