If you are going on safari in southern Tanzania (Mikumi, Selous or Udzungwa) the starting point is Dar es Salaam and in the north (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire or Lake Manyara) the starting point is Kilimanjaro or Arusha.
It is easy to book your own flights to Tanzania. The journey from Sweden takes from 14 hours.
If you need help booking an international flight, we will be happy to help.
Flying from Arusha or Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar takes about 1 hour and there are many flights daily.
If you choose to add our Zanzibar package, we will book flights for you. By using the multi-city service when booking international flights, you can fly from Sweden to Kilimanjaro and then from Zanzibar back to Sweden again.
From Arusha to Serengeti it is 5-6 hours by safari jeep.
On the way to the Serengeti you pass the Ngorongoro area. The last two hours to Serengeti are shaky and dusty.
If you want to avoid too much driving, you can skip the car transport altogether and take a flight from Arusha directly to Serengeti.
Let us know if you are interested in that and we can tell you more and book that trip for you.
